4 Books That Help You Think Like A Boss

I wish I could tell you I was a book worm growing up, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, I spent my weekends starring in music video parodies that I made with my gay uncle. I started becoming interested in books when I had a problem in my life that I couldn’t fix on my own.

This year I had MANY problems, so as you can imagine, I read a ton of books. I wanted to share 4 books that helped me become more of the ‘boss of my life’ that I wanted to be.

I’m excited to share these books with you because they were all very enjoyable reads! I love personal development books that are straight-forward, relatable and make you laugh.

I believe that if you don’t like reading, you’re not reading the right stuff. So keep searching!

Here are 4 books that changed my life this year and helped me think like a boss.

1. #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

Takeaways: ANYONE can build a business! I truly appreciate Sophia’s story because like many other successful entrepreneurs, she’s self taught.

Why I recommend it: This book is laugh-out-loud hilarious!

2. Turning Pro by Steven Pressfield

Takeaways: Mastering a skillset takes perseverance and building those habits that create discipline in our life so that you can see and experience real change in the skills you’re developing or the project you’re creating.

Why I recommend it: It’s super straight-forward and gets to the heart of that matter of why you aren’t progressing in the skillsets you have the desire to master. If you like ball-busters, Turning Pro is like the coach you’ve always wanted.

3. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

Takeaway: I learned how to manage my money even when I felt like I had none.

Why I recommend it: It has powerful affirmations that help you transform your mindset and relationship with moo-lah.

4. Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

Takeaways: Ideas and inspiration have a mind of their own that is nothing short of magical and mystical!

Why I recommend it: If you’ve ever thought that your ideas were special and spiritual in any way, THEY ARE! And this book proves it!

These book also make epic holiday gifts! They’re affordable, personal and have the potential to completely change someone’s life!!!! If you liked this blog, make sure to share it with a friend.
