Meal Prepping, Scheduling Fitness & Social Media

My ‘come-to-Jesus with planning’ is a reoccurring thing in my life. It hits me like a bible in the face when I remember how much freedom I actually gain when I plan and exercise discipline.

For those of you who cringe at the word ‘discipline,’ I have another sexy perspective to offer you.

Discipline and planning requires you to delay instant gratification but on the other hand, gives you the freedom to do what you want, when you want the rest of the time.

In my latest video, I share with you the areas in my life that have been most affected by planning and discipline recently!

Here are the areas in which planning has allowed me to gain back freedom in my life.

Meal Prepping

I plan my meals for the week on Sunday nights and it frees up my mind from thinking about food during the week and it also helps me save money.

I recently started Classpass, an app that allows you to reserve classes at studios and helps keep me accountable for attending the class and working out but my time!

Social Media

I use Google Docs to outline my Youtube ideas, social media messaging and blog posts. I’ve used tools like Hootsuite and Spredfast but I still prefer to post natively, since that is where I get to connect with people and it feels like a closer connection. For blogs, I like to schedule it at least a couple days in advance but I’m still working on that one!

Do you plan your meals, fitness or social media? I’d love to know what your process looks like and what works for you!

Do you know a fellow planning nerd or someone who could use a little discipline in their life? Share this with them and let that freak flag fly cause planning and discipline are keys to success.
