Shoyu Tofu Steak Stir Fry
Serves 3
Pan seared tofu steak cooked in a sweet shoyu soy sauce served over a bed of nori brown rice, steamed broccoli and topped with honey glazed onions.

  1. 1 package of extra firm tofu
  2. 1/3 cup Braggs Amino Acids (or soy sauce)
  3. 2-3 cups of brown rice
  4. Furikake Rice Seasoning (optional)
  5. 1 Large Head of Broccoli
  6. Chopped Carrots (optional)
  7. 1 Large White Onion
  8. 2 Tablespoons of Honey
  9. Olive Oil
  1. Cook brown rice in rice cooker or on stove 1:1 ratio of water to rice (add more water if dry)
  2. Slice onion down the center creating onion rings
  3. Pan sear the onions using a little bit of olive oil and adding 1 Tablespoons of honey. Sweeten as desired.
  4. Cook onions until browned.
  5. Set aside caramelized onions.
  6. Wash and cut broccoli and steam until al dente.
  7. Cut tofu block into 6 even slices. Depending on how thick you want your tofu steak you can create thicker slices.
  8. Add a coat of Braggs amino acids and 1 tablespoon of honey to your pan on medium heat and stir until mixed.
  9. Place tofu steak slices on pan and sear until brown.
  10. Scoop out rice to desired amount. To get a cool shape you can add the rice into a medium sized container. Pack in the rice and flip upside until rice comes out retaining the shape.
  11. Optional - Add Furikake rice seasoning on bed of rice.
  12. Add steamed broccoli to plate.
  13. Place Tofu Steak on top of rice and top with honey glazed onions.
  14. Enjoy!!!
