Spiced Persimmon Old Fashioned Cocktail

After I saw Ryan Gosling make an Old Fashioned in the move Crazy Stupid Love, I never looked that cocktail the same way. All you need to know is that, my favorite drink got a whole lot sexier.

Since I have your attention now, I want to share with you a holiday twist on this craft cocktail using my favorite seasonal fruit right now, persimmon. It’s ridiculously easy to make at home & a great way to entertain for Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving dinner.

Please always drink responsibility.

Spiced Persimmon Old Fashioned Cocktail
This is a seasonal twist on my favorite cocktail, the Old Fashioned. Old Fashioned cocktails are traditionally made with whiskey, sugar cubes, bitters and an orange twist. In this take on it, we will be using maple syrup instead of sugar and persimmon instead of orange. You can also add an orange twist on top of the persimmon for extra flavor.

In addition to adding persimmon into this cocktail, I’ve tried adding it to pancakes and other baked goods for that spiced fall flavor.

Let me know! What are some of your favorite fall or seasonal flavors and how have you used them to create in the kitchen?

If you or a friend loves persimmons (or whiskey) or learning to create drinks at home, make sure to share this with them or on your social nets.

Thank you for all your comments, energy & love. Have a safe & relaxing Thanksgiving weekend!
